NorthCape4000 

The NorthCape4000 is a non-competitive cycling gathering exclusively reserved for Bike Soul SSDrl members (hereinafter also referred to as “event” or informally as “adventure”).

Art. 1 – Registration All persons who have reached 18 years of age at the time of registration, of any nationality, are eligible to participate in the gathering.

Art. 2 – Membership The NorthCape4000 is an event exclusively reserved for Bike Soul SSDrl members. Those who are not members of the aforementioned sports organization will automatically become members upon registration for the event. The Organization may at any time and at its sole discretion decide whether to accept registration or exclude a registered participant from the event if they might damage its image.

Art. 3 – Medical Certificate and Mandatory Personal Insurance All participants must submit a valid competitive cycling medical certificate to the organization. The certificate must be sent via email to [email protected] by April 30, 2025.

The certificate will be checked and validated within 15 days of receipt. If non-compliant, it will be rejected and deleted, and the registrant must submit a new compliant certificate.

The certificate must be specific to cycling. Medical certificates issued for other sports such as triathlon, athletics, etc. are not accepted.

Those who do not comply with this requirement will not be considered properly registered and will not be entitled to a refund of the registration fee.

Each participant must have personal health insurance valid for the entire duration of the event, covering all countries crossed by NorthCape4000 2024 edition. Each participant must declare pursuant to Presidential Decree no. 445 of December 28, 2000, that the documents submitted are truthful and correspond to the originals in their possession.

Art. 4 – Route and Track The route starts from Rovereto (TN) and ends at North Cape (Norway), with a length of approximately 3,800 km (± 10%). The track runs mainly on paved roads and occasionally on unpaved roads.

Start: Rovereto (TN), Italy or Berlin, Germany. Finish: North Cape, Norway

The organization will provide all participants with a complete track of the route to North Cape. However, for safety reasons, traffic conditions, road conditions, roadworks, detours, or other unpredictable situations along the provided track, each participant is free to deviate from the route and resume it when critical conditions have ceased. Alternative roads may be used at one’s discretion if conditions require it.

The organization will always be able to monitor the route, position, and speed of each participant. It also reserves the right to modify the route up until a few days before departure.**

Art. 5 – Mass Start Event date and start location: July 26, 2025 – Rovereto (TN), Italy. Registration and event pack collection: July 25, 2025.

Event date and start location: July 31, 2025 – Berlin, Germany Registration and event pack collection: July 30, 2025. The detailed event program will be sent to each participant via email.

**Art. 6 – Compliance with Road Traffic Rules The NorthCape4000 is a free-riding event on paved roads. Since the entire route will always be open to traffic, all participants must comply with the Road Traffic Code. It is also mandatory to have a repair kit for breakdowns and punctures.

Art. 7 – Event Characteristics – Warning All participants must: • be physically prepared to handle long periods of cycling • have an adaptable spirit • have good knowledge of GPS use and basic orientation skills

In the spirit of bikepacking, any type of external support is prohibited (except in emergency cases).

Art. 8 – Mandatory Kit For personal safety, in case of emergency or route loss, each participant is required to carry the following minimum safety equipment throughout their adventure: • reflective vest • whistle or bell • mobile phone • certified helmet to be worn at all times • white front light and red rear light**

Art. 9 – Registration and Participation Fee Registration opens: December 1, 2024 – 3 PM Registration closes: January 10, 2025 or when maximum capacity is reached

Registration cost: 387 Euro from December 1 to December 31, 2024 459 Euro from January 1 to January 10, 2025

Registration includes: • Live Tracking with system provided free by the organization • Full media coverage of the event through MediaCenter, with live content production throughout the event • MSP 2025 membership • Complete route track in .gpx format • Pre-departure meeting with participants • Inclusion of participants in the RIDERS page • Digital Guide • Live participant tracking on NorthCape4000 live map • NorthCape4000 gadgets • NorthCape4000 event pack • Finisher Certificate • Inclusion in the 2025 Finisher page

**Art. 10 – GPS Tracking Each participant will receive free GPS tracking service through WHIP Live.

Art. 11 – Registration Validity Registration is considered valid only after: • completion of the electronic registration procedure • credit of the amount to the organizer • submission of the medical certificate (by April 30, 2025 to [email protected]) • positive verification of documentation by the Organization

The NorthCape4000 organization may, at any time and at its sole discretion, without obligation to provide reasons, decide whether to accept anyone’s registration.

Art. 12 – Substitution and Participation Withdrawal It is not possible to request substitution of a participant once registered. In case of non-participation, the fee will not be refunded and the race pack will not be shipped.

Art. 13 – Event Cancellation or Postponement Cancellation If the event cannot take place due to force majeure, the registration fee will not be refunded, but the participation fee will be valid for the following edition. The organization will require a €47.00 contribution for sports membership renewal and administrative expenses. The registration request for the following year and the contribution payment must be made by the date indicated by the organization after cancellation.

Postponement Due to force majeure or other serious reasons that could compromise event preparation or participation of at least half of the registrants, the Organization reserves the right to change the event location and/or date within the same year. In this case, the registration fee remains valid for the rescheduled event, without additional costs. It will not be possible to transfer registration to the following year’s edition.

Art. 14 – Changes In case of new environmental, health, or regulatory circumstances, the Organization reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the regulations. The event’s official website is the only valid information reference. Different content present in previous communications via newsletter, press, or social media cannot be invoked.

Art. 15 – Approval, Consent, Authorization

By registering for NorthCape4000, each participant:

• Declares to have read, approved, and accepted these Regulations • Becomes guarantor of their behavior during and after the event • Declares to be in good physical condition and to have submitted a valid medical certificate for competitive cycling, releasing the organization from any damage resulting from participation • Acknowledges that the event is a non-competitive trial without rankings • Is aware of the absence of health, food, and mechanical assistance services • Is aware of the absence of recovery services for withdrawals and participant search • Is aware that the organization does not monitor the route roads • Accepts the non-refundability of the participation fee • Declares to have experience and orientation capabilities in adverse weather conditions • Acknowledges that Bike Soul SSDrl acts for recreational and non-patrimonial purposes only (art. 1174 Civil Code) • Waives any legal action against the organization • Acknowledges copyright protection of event brands and materials • Consents to personal data processing according to current regulations • Authorizes the use of their image for promotional purposes • Accepts registration on AdventureLab SRL’s bikeadventureseries.com website

Art. 16 – Personal Data Processing and Registration Personal data processing will be carried out by: Bike Soul SSDrl 59100 Prato (PO), Italy Tax Code/VAT No. 02379130970

Personal data will be processed according to Legislative Decree 196/2003 and GDPR (EU Regulation 2017/679).**
